UPS GROUP

UPS GROUP The Company was established in 13th July 2005 and has its corporate office at 8, Ibezim Obiajulu Street, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria with a major interest in Agriculture, Production of Animal Feed, Beverage, Drinks, Portfolio Management, Pharmaceuticals, and Cosmetics. The subsidiaries have been existing for more than a decade before the Company was fully integrated to handle multi-dimensional businesses. However, Ups Group of Companies comprises the following subsidiaries:-

– UPS- Pharmaceuticals Limited
– UPS-Securities & Investment Company Limited
  In respect of our Corporate Social Responsibility, the company established a scholarship scheme under the name of “POPU Foundation”. Since it started operations, it has been sponsoring students throughout the duration of the study of the beneficiaries. The scheme is principally set up for the indigenes of Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Local Government of Abia State who is undergoing studies at various institutions of higher learning across the country. Since its inception in 2005, over 130 students have benefited from the scheme. This the company does by giving out the total sum to cover the expenses for the whole duration of the beneficiaries’ studies no matter the course of study of the beneficiary.

POPU Foundation also organizes a programme where widows of Umumonita-Nbawsi are taken care of by providing them with foodstuff and clothing materials yearly and also with a medical treatment facility.

UPS-GROUP’s main objective is to ensure adequate management through the provision of qualitative, efficient, and effective services to our numerous customers and clients.

COMPANY’S SET-UP
The affair of the company is managed by the Directors at the head office including 20 Administrative Staff whose responsibility are to co-ordinate the affairs of the Subsidiaries.   The Company’s MD; Mr. Nonso Ogbunamiri is a member of the Nigeria America Chamber of Commerce and he successfully led a delegation to the United States of America in 2005 where he was conferred with the following awards: An expression of Gratitude and Esteem of the citizens of Detroit by the City Council of Detroit, Michigan, U.S.AA distinguished visitor by Miami-Dade Country Office of the Mayor and Board of Country Commission, Florida, U.S.A     Other international awards that the Company and the MD have bagged include: Best Trade Name for the year 2010 from Trade Leaders Club in Spain.Best Outstanding International Partner with US Companies Award in 2012The West African Direct Marketing awards in 2007.     Locally, the MD has received: The National Productivity Order of Merit Award in 2012 was awarded to him by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.The Oke Oji Award in 2014 was presented to him by the Abia State Government.The NUJ council of Abia State awarded him the NUJ patriotic Investor Award In 2019

UPS INDUSTRIES LIMITED

UPS INDUSTRIES LIMITED was incorporated as a private limited liability company on the 29th day of December 2010, as one of the subsidiaries of UPS GROUP whose main objective is to satisfy her clients and customers’ need with good quality products.

The company manufactures, supplies and sells water mineral, aerated waters and other beverages for refreshment. The numerous ranges of products include:

1. UPS Table Water
2. UPS Sachet Water
3. UPS Yogurt Drink (coming soon)

The Company which is located at Nbawsi in Isiala Ngwa Local Government, Abia State has provided not less than 50 people with employment and has its factory  located at 16, Ntigha Road, Nbawsi, Isiala Ngwa, L.G.A, Abia State
 
Recently, the Company has expanded its operations to include the production of beauty and skincare products for adults and a skincare range for toddlers & teenagers. These products have been tested and proven to be mild and effective on skin.The Company’s body care products include:
B-Claire Skin whitening milk
B-Claire skin lightening shower gel
DeBright Teens & Toddlers lotion
Barney teens & toddlers lotion.
Perfect desire teens & toddlers lotion
Zim Zim teens & toddlers lotion
 
 
The Company is also working on production of skincare lotions to deal with different skincare concerns.
 


 

UP’S FARM LIMITED

UPS-FARMS LIMITED was incorporated as a Private Liability Company on 18th July, 2004 to carry on the business of farming which includes the production of agricultural produce such as fruits, crops and also engage in the breeding of animals and poultry as well as wholesale and retail sales of eggs, broilers and layers. The company has helped the Government to reduce the unemployment rate in the State by providing employment opportunities for the people of the State in the company.

UPS-FARMS also engages in raising of healthy broilers as well as layers in a highly hygienic environment. The company also engages in hatchery operation and also carries on the production of feeds through its state of the art mill for farmers within and outside the locality. Our production capacity; e.g. not less than 10,000 broilers per month, 10,000 crates of table eggs per week.

UP’S LINK LIMITED

UPS-LINK LIMITED was incorporated as a Private Limited Liability Company on the 16th December 1991 with registration number – RC 183,917 and commenced business activities on January 1992. This was the first incorporated company in the group. The Company’s registered and corporate Head Office is situated at 8, Ibezim Obiajulu Street, Off Adelabu Street, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

The Company is into the importation of high-quality cosmetics products into Nigeria and other West African countries and is a major distributor for perfume de coeurs’ body sprays, cantu hair products, Marhaba hair shampoo, and amla oil e.t.c. The Company acts as manufacturer’s representative for all the products it imports.

Parfums De Coeur (producers of Body Fantasy and Body Fantasies Signature Body spray, Cantu Hair products)
MESO Private Limited (producers of Marhaba hair shampoo, amla oil and prickly heat powder)

UP’S PHARMACEUTICAL LIMITED

UPS-PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED was incorporated as private limited liability company on 4th January 2000, to carry on the business of manufacturing, wholesale and retail chemist, refiners and dealers in all kind of drugs, chemicals, acids, salts, antibiotics, pharmaceutical, medical and chemical preparations, articles and compounds.

Currently, Ups Pharmaceuticals Limited is the marketing company for the products being manufactured by the group, these products include the B-Claire lotion, Zim Zim baby products, Barney Baby products, perfect desire baby products, DeBright toddlers & teens lotion and Barney toddlers & teens lotion.

UPS- SECURITIES LIMITED

UPS-SECURITIES LIMITED was incorporated as a Private Liability Company in September 2004 to carry out the business of discounting, buying & selling of shares, dealing in bills of exchange, promissory notes, coupons, drafts, warrants, debentures, certificates, scripts and other instruments and securities. The Company offers stock brokerage and investment services to companies and respective shareholders across different sectors of the economy in a timely efficient and cost-effective manner. The company also acts as executor, administrator, receiver, treasurer and registrar and to keep for any company, government authority or body a register relating to stocks, shares or securities. It also undertakes duties in relation to stock, fund transfers and issue of certificates.

 With the experience of qualified professionals as members of staff, the company has been able to bridge the gap or bottle neck between shareholders and their companies.
